The Man Behind The Mouthpiece

Lee Livengood is a professional clarinetist and bass clarinetist and has been a member of the Utah Symphony Orchestra for 20 years. He began refacing mouthpieces over 30 years ago and has been designing and manufacturing his own mouthpieces for over 10 years. All Lee Livengood Custom Mouthpieces are designed, manufactured, hand finished, and play tested in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“My goal is to match each clarinetist with a mouthpiece that will allow the most musical and rewarding playing experience possible. Whether online or in person, I look forward to working with you to find the right mouthpiece.”

Keeping things local is

important to me, so all of my Custom Line mouthpieces are manufactured here in the U.S.A.

I have switched my mouthpiece containers away from plastic to the renewable and biodegradable packaging you see pictured here.
